Dear Unit Leader, The Mayor of Bolingbrook, Roger C. Claar, the Village Trustees, and the Pathways to Eagle Committee would like to invite you, and your unit, to attend Bolingbrook’s annual PATHWAYS TO EAGLE XXI, scheduled for . The annual event is well into the planning stages. There are many things to do for all levels of scouting. Again this year: Pay on line with credit cards through PayPal when you use the online registration process to register your unit and individuals at www.p2e.org. This event takes place on the grounds of the Town Center in Bolingbrook, Illinois, (near Routes 53 and I-55), the exact location is: 375 West Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. It will be comprised of Webelos activity sessions, Cub Scout Activities, a Cub Scout carnival, Boy Scout Merit Badge sessions, and displays by Explorer Posts and Venture Crews. The Pathways to Eagle Committee would like to extend an invitation to Cub Scout units to participate. In order for a pack to participate, you would need to run a carnival type game for other Cubs to join in. “Cub Bucs” will be awarded to the winners of these games, who will then have the opportunity to “purchase” prizes at a prize booth. Also, Tigers through Bears are welcome to join us in camping from Friday evening until Sunday. Each Cub Scout MUST have an adult partner to camp overnight. The weekend cost will be cost_weekend_disp per person. Webelos Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in two Webelos activity badge sessions, Handyman and Naturalist, as well as the Boy Scout joining requirements. They will also be able to camp out Friday and Saturday nights by invitation of their favorite troop. If you need a troop please call one of the Committee Members listed below. PRIOR UNIT REGISTRATION is necessary for these badges, due to the materials and space needed. A $20.00 non refundable unit registration fee is required for all units participating, to help cover costs, please submit this fee by July 1, 2010. There will be a $5.00 late registration fee for all unit registrations received after the July 1, 2010 deadline. Also, please note the fees, and individual registration deadlines posted on the website. It is necessary for the Cub Scout registration to be turned in by July 23, 2010, for scheduling of Merit Badge sessions. There will be a $5.00 late registration fee for all individual registrations received after the July 23, 2010.
